The title is fitting. I think if anyone represents the all around “greatest of all time” slinger right now it would be Luis. Not only is he super accurate he can do it while slinging extremely fast. Hes also a really cool, humble guy. I’ve never heard a bad thing about him. He’s also an excellent sling maker. And finally the guy looks like a Greek god. Not that that really matters but let’s face it people are visual creatures. It would be hard to choose a better all around ambassador of the sport. He deserves all the credit he gets IMO.  Cool

Yeah I found that documentary one day and was overwhelmingly excited when I reached the slinging part and even more so when I saw Luis! The man shoots to kill. Though I wish the stats were relayed (sling length, rock weight, etc.) and for Luis to have used a thin sling for the glandes. I hope we can all agree that Balearics and glandes aren't the best combo. All in all, it was amazing and I hope we get more content like this in the future!

I've known luis for many years.  He's an excellent slinger.  When I met him his shooting was just strength.  It has changed.  Strength combined with elegance.  He is one of the few slingers who can consciously and purposefully use spines.  But there are some who hit better than luis.  There's jaume darder, for example.  An excellent shooter and vice-president of the Federacio Balear.  Another very unerring slinger is juanjo Caballero.  He is a typical Mallorcan.  Very warm and lovable.  He was the winner of the first international tournament in Sollér.  Juanjo shoots everything there is on stones.  From small and light to really big.  The shape is completely irrelevant.  He shoots and hits stones that I would never even consider.  And he hits.  He is a real master.  Jaume Darder makes the best Balearic slings on the islands.  From him I learned the traditional braiding of a Balearic sling.

What is "spines" referring to Jaegoor?  Is this spin?  The rotation of the projectile?

Lol I thought Jaegoor meant he literally used his spine to derive power from.

This is Juan José Caballero that Jaegoor is talking about. His style has very minimal energy windup spins, just enough to satisfy the rules, and then its all in the single rotation sidearm throw.

He has been a consistent high scorer every time I have seen him compete.

Is it just me or is he almost using an underhand throw? I cant really tell. That would be cool if he is though as you dont see a lot of good slingers using underhand.
