This is by far my most difficult challenge
The bottle cap challenge
I’m not aware if it’s been done by Jaegoor but I’ll be happy to see his take if he has.
No lies took be a lot of attempts.
I’m guessing around 1000-1200 just going off the time I spent.
I spent Friday-Friday with 1-2 sessions a day. 1week and about 10-12hours of “training”
Last 2 days was best groups of my life.
I stopped counting bottle hits.
Hitting the cap wasn’t enough
Setups changed
So did distance
Shots are all over 10m except aerial shots
Some far as 25m.

Hopefully you enjoy it wasa very hard task but I got it good on film finally, bonus clip is just ridiculous.

It's a pretty remarkable shot. But the award is actually for the sheer dedication, perseverance and stamina put in to eventually make the shot

I don't have a public video of this. I think we talked about it here once. I've eaten this before. 😁 But the challenge is that the bottle stands. 😁. It is possible. I've already done it. You have to shoot sidehand and then spin the ball backwards. I can only make a video about it after Easter. I have a lot of work at the moment. 😁 At Easter there is a new video from me. It's already done. But it won't be public until Easter. 😁

I don't even know where to start.

Awesome hit! Many attempts, but when it's a throw that you literally can't miss by 1mm (otherwise you miss), that's just going to happen. Great display of perseverance and skill!

Aside from the hit itself, that video was great. You, or whoever put that together, did a great job! Kudos!

Two questions. How much was that cap screwed on, quarter turn or so? And what were you throwing? I would guess something will a little grip to the texture.

And last, I worry you're going down a skill path that I won't be able to follow. But I'm sure as heck going to have fun trying. Wink

To answer your questions joe .
Yeah it’s a hard shot for sure and I make no attempt to lie and say it was easy or lie about attempting it so many times.
I thought hitting the cap was going to be enough, I thought there was a pretty big windo of “success” turns out not so much. I didn’t post every cap hit I did , I didn’t even begin to post the bottle hits.

So I used a rubber ball , my rubber ball I’ve been using for years in practice, it’s part of the reason it wasn’t working. It only weighs around 30g and is reasonably slippery o few shots were good but not enough grip. If we used something like a rusty ball I think it would have happened earlier. More momentum holding its line and more grippy and elongated not a sphere.

As for how tight the cap was that varies throughout the video. I started with it full down and just backed off but I had a pretty hard direct hit and it didn’t budge so I started backing it off more. The clip where I pop the cap but I’m not happy with footage could have been the loosest it was. Partial reasoning that I kept going and didn’t claim it . The clip where I actually do it it’s upside down and it’s not dripping, its not fully down but it’s not just sitting there, I wouldn’t be exactly sure how many turns/ partial turns it was backed off.

If I was to redo the challenge I think I’d find a better spot, a better ammo and a better bottle and cap. But seeing as I started with the coke I thought I may as well finish with it. But to be honest I probably won’t try it again even if it doesn’t count because it’s not standing

I have a few ideas for my next trickshot but I’m gonna take a short break and the next ideas all require a little bit more planning in the setup and filming.

Great training tool. Wasn’t throwing full power but accuracy was as good as ever. It’s nice using consistent ammo, better than random rocks ha ha

My ball was white and green when I started, the backstop is thick black rubber . My ball is now camouflage
