Could not agree more. Although there are a very few films from the 70s that I enjoy the fact is as you go back to a certain era the acting just becomes...weird. Like you are watching a live action cartoon where everything is more kid like and amplified. I just do not care for older movies and Ive never been able to get over this fact.

I do like them for the fact that its a brief glimpse back in time to a place where this type of entertainment was considered normal or in some cases even "gritty". The cultural landscape must have been such a different place when the phrase "Frankly my dear I dont give a damn" was considered a national scandal.

kill bill - quentin tarantino just makes horrible films and has less than zero understanding of martial arts.
Plus why uma thurman ?
Never understood her appeal.

they are not as bad as Hero - that's three hours of my life I'll never get back. And we had free tickets and still felt robbed !
How it was possible to make such a terrible, tedious and just awful film with that cast - that takes a (fortunately) rare kind of anti-skill.

Oh and the film with the coloured gentlemen - god that was truly awful.
I've never managed to watch it all the way through, it's that bad.
Reservoir dogs ! (see, not racist lol)
truly awful film.

la la land. - I lasted about three minutes.

The greatest showman - WHY let hugh jackman sing, I lasted two minutes on that one. Although I might grit my teeth and try and watch it again at some point. I don't know anyone who liked la la land, but I do know lots of people who like the greatest showman.

Is one of the most overrated directors. I saw The Hateful Eight because it had my boy Kurt Russell and...ya typical Tarantino. Christopher Nolan is the top dog these days as far as Im concerned.

Fight club - it was really just pointless and dumb.
The Matrix trilogy - only got better and better the less time they spent in the matrix but the last one had that weird ending so none I really enjoyed.

Agreed. Believe it or not I've never watched ET. Shocking. There is nothing about a movie featuring a Kewpie Doll from outerspace that appeals to me.
