Interesting looking siege engine design

Stumbled upon this ancient website (looks almost as old as the forum...) which has a number of different siege engine designs including this one, delightfully named "Tea Trolly":

It looks to be a really interesting and pretty simple design.

With this one the limbs are flicking from the inside out though rather than the more bow like design of a ballista. Same basic principle I guess though.

It’s square design certainly does look cool. It subverts the what you expect such a device to look like.
