I am relatively new to slinging, and this is my first sling design, as well as my first sling. So I am curious to see what seasoned slingers think of this. I am also curious if anyone would be interested in having one custom made for them, for purchase or trade. So far it has a clean release, and a decent strength. I used standard paracord for the core with a double snake knot tied at around 5 inch intervals to help avoid twists. Then I ran the paracord through a piece of soft leather for the finger loop. After I had the core to matching lengths, and a nice finger loop. I simply tied a cobra weave with micro paracord up the full length of the retention end, and around the finger loop core strands. Then I finished it off with a multi wrap tight constrictor knot. The release end was done similarly, except for the release knot I did a double layer constrictor knot giving the whole thing a solid, well balanced feel. To finish it off I alternated the color of cord, and tied two final constriction knots at the pouch attachment points. I feel pleased with the results, and I feel she is a purty little creation. Any thoughts and feedback would be greatly appreciated. I am working on a new style of sling design currently, and will post the finished results asap. This sling feels like it is meant to be on your finger permanently with how comfortable it is.
