Looks like  Psilocybe ......

My outlook on life is Aristotalean; on seeing an Acorn I see a potential oak tree rather than Plato's view that it is a failed copy.

Could be an inocybe but without specimen and field guide......

This is where having extra details like multiple close ups and spore color help however I am 98% sure thats a Conocybe apala. Very common conocybe. Definitely looks like the dunce caps Ive found.

Nope, just found it on the oval today.
I doubt it is . I’m not aware they grow here.

Another Conocybe and that one looks even more like apala than the last which makes me question the previous. There are a few otbers the previous could be but its really hard to accurately identify some mushrooma to a species witbout a scope and DNA test.

Very possibly different growth stages, different genetics, slighlty different food source etc.
Or of course a different species altogether for the first vs the second. I could act like Im certain on all these IDs but that would just prove I know nothing. That is one of my best guesses though.

There are some active conocybes but this isnt one of them. I sure would love to find one though.

Here's a few.

These are ones I found just off my patio.  Saw them and got the picture the day I recorded my 1-Minute-Can challenge.

...

This one I saw when I was disc golfing with a friend.  We were on the Penn State New Kensington course.  It had a nice shape so after taking the picture I gave it a toss with a sling.  It didn't have much weight, but flew surprising well.  If I had known it was going to fly as well as it did, I would have recorded it.

.... ...

And last, this little group was just off my driveway.  I saw it while cutting the grass.

...
