Those mods who have either gone walkabout or just pretty much stopped coming here have now been removed.

Ratman remains as official deputy God
And oxnate now has a shining new monicker - and indeed his very own forum group Smiley

Thank you all for your service to the global slinging community Thumbs Up

The mods who have gone were all frontline combatants during: The Great Spam War
For your unwavering and sleep defying support in that, I'll never forget you !
That was one gruelling and nasty period to be a moderator !

So we have several vacancies....

Keep watching this space Smiley

Thank you, CA.

I promise not to let the power go to my head.

Congrats Oxnate!  Or based on what CA is saying, maybe I should be offering my sympathy.  Wink

Looking forward to seeing what's on the horizon!

Thank you.  We have a Home page again.  (Click that slinger in the top left corner to see.)  Certainly far from done, but I'll never let perfect prevent me from displaying the Good until I have time to finish the perfect.

The "Main Website link" thread has something akin to a change log of things I've updated and a list of things to get to yet.  Feel free to make suggestions here or there.

Final note, expect the website to be a work in progress for a while.

doesn't work. Just takes me to the forum page.

Does it help that we can now use https - rather than http ?

Also don't forget that there is an automatic forwarder to the forum when you try and go to the main slinging.org index file.

That's what the server people did.
That's definitely still working.

Yes, what did they do?  I've replaced the main index file (obviously) and my codes are right.  Do you need to contact them and tell them to stop forwarding now that we have a webpage again?

Do you know why it works from the forum link but not from the main link?

I'm getting main page come up now - but it is really white - colours definitely not right - sent you email.

What the server people did was to do with the software that was 'hosting' the web site and let you modify the webpages on site.

Unless your code upsets them somehow - I don't think they'll meddle with it.
