What specifically are you trying to update?

That usually fixes most of these issues. And before anyone asks - we're not adding any extra 'genders'.

CA that's not the kind of comment I was expecting to hear from you.
I am pretty sure we are all guys on here currently but in the event that someone is on a different wavelength, I would want them to feel comfortable being themselves around us.
I'm not saying add 72 other options but adding a non binary option would be a kindness and more.

I'm not adding random genders - for a number of reasons. 1) I can't. 2) there are only three human genders and genuine, medical hermaphrodites are so rare, I've never seen the option on any form. 3) be what the hell you like - it won't change the forum software

Gender is not binary or even tertiary.

personal perception is variable.
Human BIOLOGICAL gender is fixed in your genetic code.

Now you can argue that an xyy could be categorised as a different gender - but as xyy folk tend to be ultra male - they'd no doubt argue that you were talking out of your arse and looking for a punch up the bracket.

Not sure if you get xxx at all - but generally most people are either xy male or xx female.

Everything else is sociological, and down to personal perception.

Sexual preference is NOT gender.

There’s a lot to lose. This is a divisive issue. I’m not sure we even need to bother with stating a gender at all when the forum can’t seem to keep any female members for more than a few days anyway.
