Here I have a video that is both a tribute to the good times we had together and
essentially a snuff film.
You will be missed
Mr. Cool New Sling.

I laughed so hard. I've had similar things happen.
What happened?! What was the catastrophic failure? Leather finger loop that ripped out?

Ahahaha I'm Glad! I got a chuckle out of seeing myself on camera with that reaction!
It seems to be that one of my knots had come loose! it just untied as I slung! I know that it didn't rip as I still have the leather finger loop, it's totally fine!

I've only had one sling fly off my finger and it was my first Amdocraft sling
Luckily there were no breakages and I still don't understand how it happened. Somehow it was slippier and the loop was larger than I was expecting. Thinking about it, I think I've only had one sling break ever which was one of C_A's 3d printed ones (rock got stuck in the pouch and ripped it). I think that just shows how much I switch around and change which slings I'm using rather than show the durability of the slings I use

He was a good sling. May he RIP. I'm sure all our broken slings will usher him into the afterlife.

Depressing and amusing at the same time.
On a serious note, the sling didn't appear to go that far out. And with the waves coming in, was it not recoverable?

That was funny, i havent laughed that hard in awhile. Even my gf had to laugh, since she has had a few similar close calls.
This gives me an idea, of setting up a sling donation for people who lose thier slings like that. That belong to this forum.

I'll be honest, it was a freezing cold day (the only one we've had here in aus all month,) and the footage of me standing there afterward was me trying to decide whether I was willing to strip off and get soaking wet and freezing cold for the climb back out of my throwing area while my sling was slowly floating away in what looked like a mild rip-tide.
I got lazy and decided to make a new one.
My shame is now known.

Hahaha, that's so great, a lot of my non-slinging friends have gotten quite a laugh out of it too! very worth the price of a new sling I say!

I am thinking that because a sling would share a symbiotic relationship with ammunition in order to function that it could even be a she... (
especially as the ammo goes inside of the pouch
)
No wonder we have no female memberes.
