Nice!  I have that sword too!  Cheesy

Here's a pic of mine next to another Viking sword I used to own.  The other sword is a replica of the River Witham Viking sword.  I ended up trading the River Witham because I didn't like this reproduction.  They made it way to heavy (over 4 lb.) and it felt like holding a crowbar.  It looked really nice though so I was disappointed it wasn't something I wanted to hang on to.

I still have the Ulfberht though!  Smiley

I had no idea so many had been found in Finland. It makes sense in a lot of ways because Finland was so close and invasions all failed. If you can't invade them, trade with them Cheesy

Thanks guys!
There are a strange lot of them in Finland.
Sharpening is to be expected. There is so much material removal.

Oh what beautiful... swords.  Yes, I'm definitely looking at the swords.

Sorry, but it's a pet peeve of mine:  'Yea' isn't the word you want.  It's 'yeah'.  'Yea' is an anachronistic word you see in the King James bible. "Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of Spellcheck, I shall fear no misspellings for thou art with me.  Thy dictionary and thy thesaurus, they comfort me.

I think that if I ever saw a young lady from Timpa's part of the world wearing the swords like that....I would be polite.

Very, very polite.

Check out a couple of YouTube videos of sword dancing from his part of the world.
