Hello everyone,

Made a sling out of paracord, went to a stony beach to "have a go".

First used a clockwise wind up and discovered that the earlier I released the lower and flatter the trajectory was,  the later I  released the further it went. Anti clockwise and over head I did not have much success with, but practise may make perfect.

To try and get the hang of the wind ups, I  put a tennis ball in a sock, tied a piece of string to it. Then started the wind ups and letting go of the whole thing just to get a sense of the height and direction of it when released, my dog helps in the retrieving, happy days.
Anyway, early days yet.
My misses thinks I'm  barking mad, no change there then.

Regards

Sounds like a really good start Foghorn.  Welcome!

Keep trying different things.  You may find that you like one style, and begin to stick with it.  Or you may find that you like switching between different styles.

If you have a dog helping you with retrieval, you can also sling that tennis ball. Wink

Welcome, Foghorn.  Experimentation is one of the biggest keys to slinging success.  Find what works for you. Now let me put this where it belongs.
