Has anyone ever used this device which is similar to the sling?

The recent post by Jauke caught my eye. I saw the guys from Dude Perfect using the Fox Tail in their recent video.

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=luR70V5gdS0

I thought the Dudes could have thrown it much further using a sling technique.

I've definitely tried one of these out before but it was years ago as a kid. Not sure if it would add much trying it in a sling.

I tried a lead fishing weight in a soccer sock one time but it didn’t fly as well as I thought it would. The Fox Tail silky tail may work better.

Anyone Dude Perfect fans? Did you see them using it? Thoughts?

Definitely used these in elementary school PE class.  I made a few at home with just a tennis ball in a old tube sock. I use to throw for my dogs to play fetch.  Put the ball in, tie the sock in a knot where the ball is, and homemade.
