Far better than each and every one of my attempts...

Yet I can do the Andean fist-braiding and make andean-esque slings... so IDK what the hell is wrong with me. I just can't make balearic slings.

what I would say, is that a balearic sling does differ from a normal split pouch sling in  a few significant areas.

1) it invariably short, 2 feet or under from centre of the pouch to the finger loop.
2) they tend to be a lot thicker and heavier than other slings. new ones will almost stand up by themselves.
3) while not 100%, the sides of the split pouch are often wrapped in leather.

So I would say that what you have their is a good braided split pouch sling, but not necessarily a balearic sling.

Für denn ersten Versuch nicht schlecht. Aber du musst noch etwas üben. 😁
Balearic slings sehen einfach aus. Aber handwerklich sind sie nicht einfach herzustellen.
Ich mag sie nur bedingt. Für mich habe ich sie etwas verändert. Sie sind viel haltbarer als balearische originale. Aber ich arbeite auch deutlich länger daran.

Jaegoor how does having more than 5 plaits make it more durable?
