And also in lock stock and two smoking barrels.

jason statham.
To go from olympic diver to the 'go to' bad ass in almost every hollywood action film of the last 15 years - is no mean feat !

Steven Seagal
Yeah his films can be a bit cheesy - but at the end of the day he really is a major bad ass.

The first westerner to open his own akido dojo in japan.
The guy has seriously fast hands !

And one of my favourite film badasses
Dalton from Roadhouse. Patrick swayze at his beat.

And from the same film - wade garret:

I wouldn't describe Seagal as a bad ass. More just an ass...

Seagal might be an ass in real life but I've enjoyed his movies.  Same with Mel Gibson.

Although you could pick any of his roles I'll go with John Wayne's Rooster Cogburn in True Grit. "Fill your hand, you son of a bitch!"

I think Bronson's .475 Wildey hand-cannon gets at least half the credit.  That thing could take down a bear... and you wouldn't even have to aim for the eyes!

George Lucas wasted Darth Maul

Another wasted character would be General Grievous (also my choice of bad ass). I still remember watching revenge of the sith in the cinema during summer, clenching my seat when he began spinning his lightsabers during his duel with Kenobi, being surprised when he has his first hand cut off within a few seconds and just how anticlimactically the whole fight ended.

Same with Anakin vs the tusken raiders scene and the Battle of Kashyyk.
The prequels were close to being three movies worth of missed opportunities.

Jet li.
An actual official living national treasure of china and probably one of the finest martial artists to EVER walk the earth.

There is ONE on film fight between jet li and marc dacascos.
The choreography isn't great - which is a shame as it could have been one of the truly great film fights of all time.

marc does like fighting in the rain Smiley

I absolutely love Jet Li. I could spend all weekend watching his movies and next weekend do the same. Jackie Chan is another one. Still one of the funniest movies I've ever seen- Shanghai Noon. Love it.

I will throw two more out there and forgive me if this has already been said I didn't reread the entire thread:

Leon from the Professional. Just an amazing character with depth and a hefty dose of pure awesomeness.

And Indiana Jones. From the original 3 movies. Indiana Jones is like James Bond for treasure hunting. What an absolute legend.

I Always loved both too. This is one of my favorite of Jackie's fight scenes. It's some pretty brutal hits. Also, Jackie Chan's physical comedy is pretty genius at times. I read Jackie Chan's autobiography as a teenager and that made me appreciate his movies even more.

Another is Donnie Yen in Flashpoint. The end fight has some pretty brutal hits.

IG, still one of the greatest fight scenes of all time. The jacket coming off, the candles... just phenomenal.
