Hell I'm a big marc dacascos fan anyway - just wish he'd done more pure martial arts films and not tried to be a proper actor

probably my number 1 choice to play jack reacher in a PROPER reacher film.

When the whole point of the character is that - in his own words - 'there's maybe 10 guys in the world I need to worry about in a fight'.
Basically he's a modern conan - not sure if that was deliberate on lee childs part or not - but yep jack reacher=conan.
A guy who will get involved in any malfeasance - simply because he KNOWS he's pretty much not in an real danger.

So who makes the first two - so called - 'reacher films ? Tom cruise.

If you've read the books - you probably haven't bothered watching the films - I know I haven't.
What's the point ? I'd just sit there shouting at the screen

That said - tom cruise has played some seriously bad ass dudes - and he also does a lot of his own stunts.
I mean not jacky chan level - but still pretty impressive for an actual movie superstar.
