What cord do you prefer? Choose two options, i.e. Thick flat cords, thin round, thick round, etc.
Anything up to and 550 paracord would be considered thin and round for paracord in this case, with a slight margin above paracord size depending on the squishiness of other materials
The Balearic slings from Luis would count as thick and flat

I prefer flat over round. I don't even really know why exactly

You will notice a twist in the flat cord sooner and undo it.
Thin round cords can secretely twist up on you before the throw if you dont take caution, and a twist in the cord can really ruin the throw.
That being said, I prefer round cords when actually throwing, as long as they don't have a twist in them.

All the braided cords I do are round. I don't have much experience with flat cords. If I used a flat cord more often, I might find that I actual prefer it.
The braids I'm regularly doing now are a little thicker in diameter than paracord. But I would still consider them to be thin. Possibly getting into a medium thickness.

I like paracord so much I've been trying to braid my cords more and more to emulate it's properties. Guess that puts me in the thin and round category. Good question!

You should have included one more option: All of the above. I really don't have a preference. They all work equally well for me.

I picked "all of the above".
I've made all sorts of slings, I have to confess to not really having a favorite. I think I have individual slings that I got "just right" that are the ones I keep using. They are of different materials, types, pouch materials and cord materials.
