Finger loop for normal stones, hand loop for mini boulders.

Finger loop 90% of the time.
Wrist loop     8% of the time.
Toggle made from a clothes peg, ( that's  a clothes pin for aloominum users)            3% of the time.

The trick to a good wrist loop is not to go the lazy way and tie one down but make a cinching wrist loop, it's much better
