finger loop or wrist loop?

I do not remember whether this has been voted on.
But in my opinion, very few slinger use the wrist loop. I use. I never use a finger loop. Does anyone here use a wrist loop?

I have both. As long as it’s a sling I made for myself it doesn’t matter, but the wrist loop made for me doesn’t fit other slingers because I have big hands. The pouch goes a little lopsided when others use it... not so with finger loops

I'd think that If I ever decided to launch huge stones with a long-ish sling, I would definitely use a wrist loop...
But because I primarily throw jagged limestone rocks in the ~20-80 gram region I don't really need one.

haven't tried it for some time now.
I feel that finger loop has more direct control on the projectile. But I guess wrist loop suits well the pirouette style.

When I use a wrist loop, it passes between my fingers and controls about the same as a finger loop. It would be harder to control if you just let it hang on your wrist though.

finger loop for me. When it comes to heavy loads (witch seldom happens... I'm a lightweight myself
) I just put a stick through the loop to make a decent T-shaped handle...

Finger loop. Like Frondeur, I have used a toggle for throwing heavy ammo.

I've never tried a wrist loop but I have a small "belt" that came off a bike of all things. It's perfect size for my wrist so it just needs a sling attached then I'll be able to try it out. I feel like it's going to be a big learning curve.

Never used a wrist loop before, will have to try it sometime.
I have used my ring finger for nearly all my slinging career and recently switched to my middle finger since trying it at balaerics and finding it pretty decent.

Nothing but the wrist loop! I enjoy the extra power it gives me . The larger ammo. I find it just a much more stable way to hurl my sling

Never tried a wrist loop, but I agree with Sarosh that it would probably work well for the pirouette. Something I have to try with a 50 incher + an extra arm rotation before release.
Mostly wear the finger loop on the middle finger.

I have been using a wrist loop a lot lately and it works well for pirouette and Greek, I think it most definitely helps with larger rocks. But when I use a rotor style the retention cord shifts around too much between the fingers, and I prefer fingerloops

I have as well. I used a wrist loop for most of the two-handed slinging I did recently. Agree that it's good for large projectiles.
