vashu1why do you use Cd=0.47? It changes a lot with a more streamlined shape, lead could possibly be 0.05
Cd will lower if you reach a certain initial speed for a given projectile , giving you some extra range. google Cd to Reynolds number graph or
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drag_coefficientwhen filming the 160m target video I realised that a heavier round stone falls short to a much lighter but also elongated stone, the difference was big not because of speed but because of drag. For max range I would use a biconical with a good spiral not a ball shape even with backspin. the only reason to throw a ball would be if I can't control the spin and I dont want it to affect the trajectory/ range.
