This song is almost constantly playing in the back of my head. If I ever get an annoying song stuck in my head, this is on standby to drown it out. One of my favourite songs:

right now this one.
anyone else who has watched cowboy bebop or samurai champloo? both have great music.

That's a cool song. Pleasant surprise there.

Boss just called, probably wants me to come in for more hours. I'll never know for sure. Seems my phone was acting up.  This immediately comes to mind.

Cage the Elephant is a band I really like but I always forget about them and haven't listened to nearly enough of their songs.

I do the same, mostly because hip hop and rap have been taking over here in the US and good rock bands aren't as mainstream as they used to be. I find myself retreating into the old standbys of classic rock, which is not good considering good music is still being created.

Oooo talking of good new music but in relation to old music, Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats is a good one to check out if you like anything close to Sabbath. Their album The Night Creeper is really good. They recorded it using original 70's equipment and it's just... heavy. It really feels like the Manson and suicide cults side of the 70's. The acid trips of the 60's are going sour and everything is a bit... menacing. Great stuff.

This is my baseline..well sort of. Any music that has that trippy, ethereal quality to it is right up my alley. Doesn't have to be as depressing as this one, but anything with that feel. Sarosh's song from the anime show was sort of edging in that direction. Other examples like Speak to me/breathe from  Pink Floyd, alot of new waveish synth music like Depeche Mode, and Muse all sort of fit in.

If you know any bands like that KTO I would love to check them out.

I do appreciate when hiphop artists can laugh at themselves though:
