As much as I think American rock is great I’ll be the first to admit the British dominate rock music.

Hildegard von Blingin'

Modern songs redone in a medieval style (with appropriate artwork, instruments, and lyrics slightly reworked) and a beautiful voice.

This one is Creep.

I'm waiting for "Seven Kingdom Army" to come out.

Sorry, but it's a pet peeve of mine:  'Yea' isn't the word you want.  It's 'yeah'.  'Yea' is an anachronistic word you see in the King James bible. "Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of Spellcheck, I shall fear no misspellings for thou art with me.  Thy dictionary and thy thesaurus, they comfort me.

Last week we went and saw Mad Max Fury Road in IMAX and it was akin to a religious experience. One of my favourite films easily. One big reason for it being so great is the soundtrack. Listening to it just makes you want to jump in the back of a souped-up hunk of scrap, fill it up with guzzoline and nitro and burn across the desert at blistering speed. Somehow Junkie XL managed to condense pure adrenaline down into audible wavelengths. Seeing The Doof Warrior rip into a guitar flamethrower on the back of a missile transport loaded up with amps... Incredible. A masterpiece of cinema.

I've got three!

I got done with work this evening.  Went out and did some bow shooting.  Then sat down on the porch with a cigar, a handful of beers, and the music playing.  Nothing new, just a bunch of the same tunes I've listened to for years.  These are three songs (there are others, just picking a few) that don't seem to get old for me.  Every time I hear them, I think I like them more.

The Struts - Could Have Been Me - https://youtu.be/TwG-agL7viE

Joe Walsh - Life's Been Good - https://youtu.be/BXWvKDSwvls

Queen & David Bowie - Under Pressure - https://youtu.be/YoDh_gHDvkk

Here's an oldie.  It's the "Let's cut school and do LSD in the park all day" song.

on the medieaval front - this is a cover of heather alexander's march of cambreadth - probably the best battle song EVER written !

It's done by a french group that plays sort of meideaval (I'm experimenting with spellings) music.

the original:

I keep hoping a decent metal band will cover it.
It would have made a phenomenal Manowar track.

These days I'm mentally psyching Battle Beast to cover it.

One of the joys of having lots of children in the house is the music that will never get back out of your head Grin

“My final hour is at hand. We face an enemy more numerous and cunning than the world has yet seen. Remember your training, and do not fear the hordes of Judas. I, without sin, shall cast the first stone. That will be your sign to attack! But you shall not fight this unholy enemy with stones. No! RAZOR GLANDES!  Aim for the eyes! May the Lord have mercy, for we shall show none!“  -Jesus the Noodler

Well ska has it's place... Sometimes I pass by that place and I hear it through the open door, but I don't often go inside.
