      This is a section of the Forum dedicated to metrics and data. Here, we will collect, publish, discuss, and study the Sling in an academic manner, to gain a systematic knowledge of the Sling and it constituent elements such as ammunition, targetry, and so on.
     We are looking to build the base of fundamental data which archaeologists, historians, and others in the slinging community can use to bring together a picture of the sling’s actual capabilities. Further, in the field of history, we will likely be able to analyze the legends and stories we read of the Sling, and rule out what is legend, and what is fact. The number of tools we can add to the kit of those who deal with Slings runs of the risk of becoming extensive and well tuned. Provided everyone keeps to the method and standards set out in the various studies, we will get along fine.
     Due to the academic nature of this section, references will be required in all posts. If there are not citations for any claim, or the data necessary to support the claim, it will be removed.
     Do not underestimate my propensity for Academic Censorship. If I suspect you are not following methods required for a study, using unsupportable/unsupported sources, your material will be deleted. I am your peer here, and I will review your submissions with a keen eye and an iron set of standards.
      Peer Review will be swift and merciless.
