Awesome hit my man! Your pendulum-egg-nail trinity challenge is complete. Thumbs Up

Definitely a scary bounce.  I haven't been brave enough to set up a camera close to a target yet.  Although I have something in the works that a target camera should work really well for.  So my old phone may need to get put in harm's way.

Your distance is good.  I was only doing 5 m.

Nice job! That slow-mo was really cool, what were you using to film? I want to get something that can do slow-mo and get an overhead and side view of me slinging to analyze my mechanics and form.

The trifecta was great too. I still think you need a one place repository with all of your good slinging hits...

Thanks guys.

I just use my iPhone. I have a highlight reel on my instagram account I was thinking I should screen record it all and post as a video on YouTube but I’m lazy and can’t be bothered setting up an account

Nice shooting!

@IG: you can film at 1000fps for a reasonable price if you know where to look...

So is this the end of this thread?
Is it time to post individual challenges on the general slinging section?

I still think we need a sticky-ed thread for challenges and just update (modify) the post with additional entries. Or maybe even just a new section for challenges.

I'm really enjoying these.

I went out for round 2 of the nail challenge and was out there for 2 and a half hours.

Didn't hit the nail once.

I hate the nail. Got darn close a number of times and cracked the board but that nail... That damn nail...

I will destroy it!

I feel your pain kick!!
I must have hit a perfect circle around my nail multiple times in multiple attempts. And glanced one small stone off the nail but no drive in.
These are the type of challenges that scream consistent ammo.
I was having a hard time with stone sizes as well, the big heavy stones are what you want , more surface area and more oooomph. Gets the nail driven in good.

I trust you will get it kick
I’ve seen monster ammo fly from your pouch before.
Good luck moving forward, hopefully next session

One big problem I'm having is losing my ammo to the grass.last time I went out with 6 stones and came back with one. This time iwent out with 6 and came backwith zero. Its amazing how they just disappear so easily.

With using big ammo, I'm getting tempted to take the staff sling with me next time...

Are you able to paint them?  I don't know how much that would help with very tall grass.  I painted mine orange so I wouldn't lose them.  Granted that was just in my yard so the grass isn't very high.  But it did make them stand out like a sore thumb.

I don't have any paint on hand but I could get some. The problem is that the grass is just so tall and thick it wouldn't matter. I've found the best way of finding them though is to stamp all the foliage down and find them by standing on them. Even then, they travel so much and it can be so difficult to track them from where I throw, it really seems they just completely disappear.

Are we close enough to Halloween to announce the pumpkin challenge??? Perhaps someone has a prize they could offer up ?
Shall we post a thread in the main discussion section??
