Getting knots in my release cord.. (Read 1934 times)

Toby Descens Offline Slinging Rocks! Posts: 200 Nürnberg	Getting knots in my release cord.. Sep 13^th, 2015 at 11:53am Hi friends, i get sometimes a knot in my releasecord just from slinging. It is a relatively thin/flexible cord made from jute. Did somebody else experience this? This is quite annoying to me.

Hey Toby,

Ya that is something I have experienced over the years. Since I switched to a thicker flat braid in the Balearic style it happens very rarely. Once every 10,000 throws I'd say. I never felt it was very annoying to me however, more of a strange anomole that I'd hold up like a child who colored within the lines for the first time and show my slinging friends around me lol.

That sling however felt quite strange today, though it doesnt twist when i hang something in the sling an let it hang down. With my sisalrockman sling i had some good shots and whip cracking.

Reply #4 - Sep 13^th, 2015 at 11:11pm It only happens to me on awkward fumbly shots these days. and when it does, it's just that simple first step in a reef/granny knot. It's an easy fix, but a bit perplexing when it does happen
