Leather Whipping
Jan 23rd, 2015 at 7:22pm

Okay so I just found this sling tutorial and it shows the construction of a leather whipping for the sling. I've never seen this before. It's at 2:40 in the video. My question is, does it still snap? Any experiences?

The guy is definitely speaking from experience and I'm sure it works but I feel like it would be awkward. Try it...its only a small bit of work you could easily take off if you don't like it .
I would personally find a less bulky option.

They throw pretty large rocks, so I think the knot will pull through with a little practice.  I have put some large knots in braided curtain cord slings, they work fine once I use them for a while.

As far as the crack, not a clue.  At a guess, it probably will if you throw really hard.

If you did it, I would hold it by the main cord just before the tassel. Less stress on the leather that way Smiley
