What are the "Rusty Ball" made of? Huh. The "safety ball" seems like a good idea, especially for a newbie like me at slinging Roll Eyes

yeah i have noticed that rusty balls deforme i tried some distance throws with them and i saw the flattened a little in flight and would fall really quick and instead of going 130 to 140 yards like a stone they go like 100 yards or less but they are safer than stone

Oh wow, so rusty balls for sure shorten the distance! Luckily I have a lot of forest around my house so I'm going to go practice there tomorrow.  I sling the rocks straight, I just seem to always launch the rocks a little higher than I'm trying to. Smiley. Thanks for the info, Jeffbonds!

Sand sounds like a good idea,I'm gonna have to give that a try. Do they tear easily?

i would suggest you use the rustyballs on a flat wall .
mine got easily teared on a very rough surfaced wall.
make a sample and try it to be sure...
clear the sand from any little stone because it can open holes to the balloons  Angry

I would like to explain once again some bargains. Rusty balls are intended ammunition as an Indoor. I use them for the training in a gymnasium. It is no ammunition for distance. They can make the balls harder. If they use more aerial balloons. Hits on Diane stand them very well. Also smooth walls are well suitable. In Majorca a lot of Slinger have tried this ammunition. It functioned with all. Not a ball was destroyed. Also Lui did not create it. Whether one this ammunition may is a personal question. I like personally no tennis-balls. They are too light to me. Rusty balls are no Safty ammunition.

Thanks for the tips Parmenion! The local park by my house has a ball wall that I'll go try the rusty ball on! The videos definitely help, thanks Jaegoor! I also tried tennis balls and I agree, the are very light to sling.

This video shows an excellent means of filling the rusty ball with flour or sand respectively. Looks a lot easier than me trying to use a dowel and funnel. You guys might already be doing this but I'm a little slow on the uptake.
