Compared to any other sling? That's a daring statement Wink.

I have no idea what you could mean. However I can tell you what I see:
- three strand braid with one (pouch) or two strings per strand
- wrapping around the retention loop.
- taper towards the release knot from 3x2 to 3x1.
- bulky release knot (not sure which knot, maybe a monkeyfist, but could also be a turks head variation... Also a diamond knot looks similar)
- material: most probably a synthetic one. I guess polyester, maybe nylon.

Ghandi made it out of Abraham Lincoln's hair? Shocked

You braided it underwater

You were actually trying to make Belgian waffles and this is actually what happened.

You made it using only your feet.

It's actually microscopic and its sitting on the end table inside a dollhouse in this picture.

Speaking of dollhouses, It looks like a million doll hairs! Dear lord I apologize for that one. Embarrassed

You set this up for insane comments...you must know this.

Oh myyyy......

It's Goliath's sling isn't it?

Is that texture behind it carpeting? If so, it's so bloody big that watermelons wouldn't pouch.

Its for a new sport. Extreme dwarf tossing. Or hyper velocity dodge ball.

I've made two very large slings, neither of which were anywhere close to yours (the longest one was maybe 175cm from loop to pouch) I made mine out od hollow braid polypropylene rope.  Mine weren't pretty like yours and it was too dangerous to use. I could never get a consistent release.

I am reinspired by this and may try another sling big enough to put some serious heat on a regulation American football.

I've made and used 1.5m long sling (fingerloop->pouch) succesfully. It has 2mm thin synthetic cords. That way it has relatively low air drag. I can't imagine just a long sling with such thick cords to be any effective.

I'm with bigkahuna on this one. Turn that bad boy into an apache sling. And if you can't muster any rotation out of it, you still got one sweet hammock for a toddler.

I wanted to write " I can't imagine such a long sling with such thick cords to be any effective"
Even with 2mm cords air drag is noticeble on my 1.5m sling. I can throw tennis ball sized stones 150m with it. I call it the artillery sling.
