I would like to submit a request for Sling Crafter Level Three. I have previously submitted four other slings and have two more to add. One of which may be too similar to one of the previous four already submitted, and thus only fall into the minimum requirements of level three.
The first submission is a sling I made from 'Hootchi' cord. It is a eight strand plaited retention and the release cord tapers down to a three strand. A ninth strand was added approx five inches before the pouch and was dropped approx five inches after. The tri-band pouch is woven in the rockman style, and indeed, it may be too much like the previous rockman in sisal to be included in this request. I leave that up to you.
The second sling is based on the 'Aussie' pouch design and is made out of kangaroo hide. An 'Aussie 'Roo' sling . Early trials with this one have proven a little disappointing, but I think it is more to do with ammo size and the way I have attached the cords. Further experimenting with this sling will be required. I have also instructed my oldest daughter in the construction and use of this style of sling, although currently she is using a true 'Aussie pouch' sling.
