walter Interfector Viris Spurii Offline Slinging Rocks! Posts: 2453	Agave quivers Feb 16^th, 2013 at 12:56pm A couple pics of agave quivers. The big one will hold a dozen plus arrows. The smaller one six or seven. The strap is finger woven 44 inches long. Just a little sanding, a coat of poly and one more strap and i'll be done.

Ss, thanks. The walls are 3/16 on the narrower one & 3/8 " on the other. They are very light and strong.

Dan,Do you mean elaborate some?

Not much to it. The fletch on my arrows starts at 24", so I cut them 26" long, cut 2" off the bottom, holllow out the two foot piece, glue the bottom back on sand and poly the quiver, and wrap on the strap, which I still need to do.

Making the strap is a bit tedious. Had to learn to finger weave Huh

Haha, yeah. Rushing my posts sometimes leads to poor grammer.

I thought you had somehow joined the leaves together. Clearly your agave stalks are much larger than I'm used to, different species I guess.

Easiest way is to split the stalk, gouge out the core and put the stalk halves back together. I didn't do that. I used a knife then a sawsall blade attached to a stick and then a longer stick with a chisel point.
