This is a pyramid lead fishing sinker that I slapped some string on the back of to stabilize it if it was slung and with how inventive the people are on this site I’m sure that someone has done this . are there any benefits this could have over  a biconical or teardrop ammo ?

Can't think of any benefits other than cost. (This turned out to be wrong lol)

While the tail should stabilise the flight, it will cut down on distance.
Which might be a good thing Smiley
It should also make it easier to find.

So several potential benefits, just not distance.

How do you make projectiles that whistle I’ve been making a bunch of clay projectiles and some of the flat glandes make a weird humming noise but have never been able to figure out how to get them to whistle

I think you have to make holes into them. But I never tried making whistling ammo.

I saw a picture in here of some clay shot that someone said whistled and had holes in them so I made some with holes but didn’t hear anything

try making a clay missile with an empty .22 casing mostly embedded in the side.  I haven't done this, but having the opening protrude a little should make the sound clearer.

Has artificial sinew been used to make slings  a lot of it is waxed and is synthetic and it seems like it might be able to be usd the same way as fiber for balearics

Newbie to slinging but caught the bug with a vengeance and making up for lost time.  I've tried the split pouch  and I can't keep anything in the pouch.  Yet on the other hand the solid leather pouch  I can hold something the size of the  neighbors cat in it ,without fear of dropping out  Can someone explain why the split pouch is so popular?  Am i missing something here?
