If it worked, then its fine. I found that having both pouch sides twisted in the same direction was a bit awkward, but then they were twisted by different amounts anyway which was probably the bigger problem. I undid it and changed to opposite twists of the same amount and it worked perfectly.

One thing I will try next time is twisting the pouch sides at the same time as laying in the warp cord, rather than twist first and splice later. This might be a simpler way of doing it.

Sounds similar to my thoughts when I was making mine.  I made eight rows of warp instead of six, too, but I'm pretty satisfied with my results.  I'll test it out the next chance I get and report my results!

I atempted to make a replica of this Huichol sling, but for me is something impossible!
