It's a heck of a lot better than my first few woven/braided slings, that's for sure.  It looks like Daniel is well on his way.

Praise me not too much  Cheesy

Thank you for your compliments. I still have some problems, but as you said; i think i'm on good way and i have an idea of what doing next time better Smiley

I think i will try out some other material.
I think i found my favorite way of making slings (woven). It was big fun for me making it Wink

In my holiday coming next week i will try out this sling and the balearic i got from Jaegoor.
(the difference in slinging this one compared to the balearic is heavy Wink )

Best regards
Daniel

Just saw this.  Really impressive.  Well thought thorugh and nice final product.  Shows what you can do with skill and brain power alone.  Well done.  I *love* the way you cupped the pouch.  Am gonna run home and try it.

Thanks much, Brett.  You'll find that you can use the techniques here on many different styles of sling.  The modified pj sling made here is a very versatile work horse.

I'm fortunate to have had Rat Man make me one one these, and I love it. This here is my go to sling and he made it quite colorful to boot. This puppy launches everything I've stuck in it, except a toy Pikachu I found at the park lol. Can't brag enough about it.

Ok, I had to read this, cause it was in the "quick view" area with a title of "New Tutorial...Sheep"...and that's all it said.  I was starting to wonder about you guys.

This sling is based on the sheepshank
 ...
After 5 loops (6" long") are made you begin a sheepshank but complete an  overhand knot by placing the end of the cord through all five loops and pull tight.  Repeat at other end.  No extra weavings are necessary.  Tony

I hope you like the modified sheepshank sling.  It is certainly easy to tie.  I first made a sling like this almost 40 years ago from the directions in a 1974 book "Whittlin', Whistles and Thingamagigs" ISBN 0-8117-1882-2.
I posted this sling only because of the name.  Your tutorial is excellent. Tony

So how long of a piece of cord do I cut for a 40 inch sling?  I'd like to use that 5 6 inch way
