A sling in a contest...
Dec 1st, 2011 at 5:13pm

As I have told elsewhere, I did make a sling for a yarn based contest.
Now, I need you to go here to see the projects and to choose your 4 favorites. I believe you'll be able to find mine easily Tongue

Once your choice is made, you can vote for your favorites here. 4 points is for your #1 absolute favorite, 1 for your #4 absolute favorite.

Of course, by showing the link here, I create a little bias, but I believe you will be responsible and fair-play and trully vote for your 4 favorites Wink

Thank you !

Some explanations about the projects, for those of you who can't understand French :
The first one is a cardigan, knitted
The second one... well, it's a Rockman-style Tongue
The third one, another cardigan, knitted for a 8years-old girl
The fourth one is an "arboricultural penguin" crocheted. Not sure about my translation here !
The fifth one is a little purse, knitted
The sixth one is the Little Prince and his sheep, a stuffed toy, knitted too
The seventh one is a stuffed toy, an owl
The eighth one is some kind of strange mittens
The last one are a "robot bag", a frog and a turtle...

Now, you can't say you don't understand  Grin

PS : Votes are allowed until the 10th of December

that is  a very pretty sling - but compared to a penguin and frog - you've got no chance  Grin

So i went for penguin 1st - frog 2nd - sling 3rd and the gloves 4th

Sure the gloves are simple but once you roll the end over your fingers they'd be pretty warm. Smiley

I can't be jealous for the penguin, it's my girlfriend's !
Yes, the gloves are pretty smart, both with and without finger ^^

I didn't made the little Earth juggling ball, it was something my girlfriend has been offered Smiley

For me, I went with
the Owl
the penguin
the sling
the bag

So, 2 birds and 2 "tools" Grin

If you really wanted to win you should knit a sling, rock bag, hat, gloves and sweater, as a set,  all with the same reindeer pattern we all used to get for Christmas from our aunt.............

Well, there is a pattern for a knitted sling, so the same with the reindeer pattern sould be doable... but even my favorite knitter don't know how to do this, so I'm really not ready to learn Tongue
The gloves should be with only 4 fingers, since they would get in the way of the loop... that would be very strange  Shocked

And I'm already doing ammo covers*, so you can't invent worse than me Tongue Even with your reindeer !

*Pictures soon

if you use a sliding loop (not sure how you'd knit that though) gloves are not a problem Smiley

Or maybe a glove with the loop as a finger ?
Which would be more useful : the sweater bag or the hat bag ? with long earcovers than double as ammo bags to keep you balanced ?

And to create a sliding loop, use Matthias' pattern, but a bit longer on the loop cord, the pouch can go through the loop Smiley
