HELP ADDING SRT FILE TO AN AVI MOVIE
Oct 6th, 2010 at 7:11pm

Hey, I am new to downloading and have never downloaded subtitles for a movie.  I downloaded Dead Snow and El Mariachi and then I downloaded the subs.  Well, I have no clue how to put the two together, I have tried putting them both into convertxtodvd like I do with a two disc movie and that makes it into 1 disc, but when it just tells me that the subtitles are an unknown file type and if I try to open them I get
"The archive is either in an unknown format or damaged." but these are two different sub titles so they can't both be damaged...  Is there a program I need to get to do this, or is there just something simple I am not doing?  I am using a windows operating system and Convertxtodvd.

  Thanks.

not really asnwering your question, but its seems a pity no ones responded.
so i offer other advice. have you tried other forums for computer help, or googleing the question?
hands down theres a site that can address this problem somewhere if you use the right key terms or ask on forums

i'm no computer junky, but i can get my way around easily. maybe it says that it can't view these files is because your computer isn't compatible with the version, or just doesn't host/have the needed viewer?

I have looked over google but they all tell me how to do it with a different conversion program and what they are describing isn't the same process I go through with convertxtodvd, it's a different dvd conversion one, I should be able to do it with convertx though.  And yeah, it could very well be a plugin or something I need to read it with but I have no clue what that would be.  I asked on a forum on the website I downloaded it from, so with a little luck I will get a response there.

well given that what you're asking is essentially how to repackage illegally downloaded movies.

This isn't the forum and it's not the sort of thing we allow public discussion of.
sorry.
