A cheap wee sling, but it works!

I made a couple of vids and posted them on Youtube. How to make a simple sling, and how to use a simple sling.

Paracord costs £2.99 for 50 feet, and it only takes a few minutes to make a sling.

Nice, SV.  I'll have to practice that one.  I'm a huge fan of  simple slings.  For the first few months of my slinging  I used nothing but Malik Lund's Appu-sling for that reason.  Being able to throw together a sling quickly out of what's available is a good survival skill:

timothy potter also has a method for http://www.seekyee.com/Slings/howtos/ropesling1.htm i personally don't have mush luck with thin slings like that. even with slightly thicker balearic ones. but then i like using midgit pebbles, which you couldn't even use with that even if you had a high tech precision machine.

I have some cordage that is too stiff and too short for a good braided sling.  I now have a use for it.  Thank you for both links.  Bill

Rat Man, the Appu Sling is better than mine. Why? because it's all one piece, doesn't need cutting or melting, and can be carried at all times as a paracord bracelet.
xxKid123, your pouch design is inherently strong. My release cord sometimes needs re-centring on the pouch until the knot tightens.
For ball-bearings and small pebbles, add a duct-tape pouch. It looks flimsy but works well.
Funnily enough, after using a thick sling I always notice an improvement when I go back to Paracord.
Thanks for the good ideas, gents, there's always a lot to learn here.

if your ducttaping over it, i recommend stitching it together. much better finish.
