S.I.T.H. PICS & REVIEW
May 9

I received my sling late last week, and I must tell you ,it's a work of art! Thanks to Paleo for his diligent effort and prompt delivery. The cords appear to be braided with hemp and tied off neatly with sinew type material. The pouch is some kind of weaving of small leather strips, and it looks exquisite and durable.Sadly,my shoulder injury will not allow slinging of any kind and with either arm for a few months, but possibly one of my brothers can test it for me.
I am not as prompt with the construction and delivery of Aztec's sling, but it should be ready to ship mid-week.

thanks for the kind words, Jax, and i hope you get better quickly. the cords on that sling are actually braided flax and the whipping is a smaller diameter waxed flax. the pouch is a continuous piece of deer hide lace.

They begin to arrive, nice. Fine and practical sling, meaning it do not need to just hang on a wall.
Hopefully the slings that has to cross oceans can travel fast and easy
.
Guess there is bit of excitement around the globe now.

smart looking bit of kit. Like the sliding finger loop.
Started rockmans sling this afternoon. Once I figure out how to stitch cord to leather it won't take long

Aztec, received the sling...It's too nice to use. I feel like I cheated BrianGrubbs with my sling. It's simple 550 cord with a rock man pouch. I'll get pics up tomorrow. I did use it, slung clay rounds at the kids play house in the back yard, works great.

Mines all made, I will be mailing mine once I get to the post office. Nice sling paleoarts, I love how you make the weave long and slim at the ends like that. Wish I could get a hold of some buckskin myself... I have been using purse leather, works great and most of the time you get either lacing from it or you have a strap to cut lacing out of, but it's all cowhide and I use it for apache slings. (Old belts also make great lacing.)

Wow, Jax, you're really lucky that paleoarts drew you. That's a gorgeous sling. I just finished my fourth attempt for Mr. Potter. I'll never make one that will impress him with it's beauty, and I just have to face that fact. The idea is to make a good sling that you'd use yourself. I do strong and functional and I can't change that.

got my sling from Brian Grubbs!
and it's beautiful. i'm assuming the cords are nylon, square braided with a tapered release cord and a fixed loop. the pouch is leather expertly cupped and stitched. this looks to be a thoroughly tough sling that will last forever. i put a couple dozen stones through it this morning and it throws perfectly! thanks, Brian

Both slings are beautifull. I like the colors on Mr. Grubbs apache type. And Paleo's leather strip pouch looks like something I'd like to use.

I like how you went about stitching the pouch onto that amazing Apache sling you made Brian.
I gotta try stitching like that sometime.

Thanks guys! Glad you like it. Yes Chris, the cords are nylon... trotline cord if I remember correctly. Hope it gives you years of faithful service
Can't wait to get mine from Cervantes so I can post up pictures of it. Might even do a video review if I have the time!
