Casting bronze is a very expensive process in terms of energy and effort. You dont go to such an expense only to throw the result from a whip bow when you could and should be using a proper bow. The cost of the bow is trivial compared to the cost of the bronze casting operation.

The possibility to retrieve either of them after combat is the same, no matter the accuracy.

Which sense would the hook have, otherwise??

A leftover from casting would probably be straight. And the curved bases of the blade wings work as barbs already.
