Naming your sling?

I've been reading up on sligns this past week for a new project and have learn three things: one superglueing fingers hurts..badly.
two: worn out para-cord equals rock in face and three: most people name there slings. I thought this was just like naming an Atlatl or sword so I went and read up on some history. And amazingly I found that even lowly farmers named there slings and for different reasons to! Aztec warriors named thiers according to class and lifestyle and even by the graceings of thier gods. Native Americans named theirs according to seasons and classes, and by their first kill. So my quetion is "Do you name your sling and do you just for luck or is there a reason behind it?"

Only my first sling was named, May she rest in Peace. Catsbane. (I'm not saying I hit any animals...
but my aim is much better now.)

Massi - WTF? It's called a sling. You use it to throw rocks farther and faster than you could otherwise. That's all.

I've played with the idea a bit, but never really went through with it.
Maybe I'll name my next/current favorite sling....

Me to, but with exceptions. My favorite sling from 2 summers ago is named "The Aardvark Sling". It has a shaped/cupped leather pouch with utility cords attached with loops the way our curious "you-know-who" favors. It has changed knot configurations due to my changing grip preferences and is still ready to hurl at any time.

My little 20" every day carry sling I call Mighty Mouse, 'cause as short as it is, I can still sling a golf ball with it over 200 yards just about every time.

et cetera- hmm, never thought of that. i should edit the list
good sling, bad sling, unfinished sling
i dont think ive had a sling break on me in any way, since bad construction and design dont count.
and if its a bad sling then i wont like it so that category is repetitive

I usually name slings by type instead of actual names.
Mark I was a simple denim pouch.
Mark II was a double-layered denim pouch, because it would wear quickly through one.
Mark III currently used and made of leather.
I also give serial numbers for the heck of it. The highest I got so far is MK III - 0004 (one for each of three friends and min)
