this is what ive been working on today 

its made from red ceder with black glass micro blades finished with tung oil .

tommorow ill try to find a cane shaft the right size to put it in

thats awesome, i knew of the design of the maquahaiutl (spelling?) but i didnt know they used a similar design process to create spear heads. Awesome work, cant wait to see it mounted up and put through its paces Cheesy

looks scary enough by itself- now attach a shaft that is god knows how long (on a diagram i saw of various Aztecan weaponry the spear went all the way across) and then we'll se who will laugh at the primitive cultures Wink

its hard to take a decent pic of the over all spear but here it is hafted on the shaft. its about 7 feet long

Beautiful work Aztec. You ought to see if any museums in your area would consider an Aztec Weapons exhibit. You're is certainly good enough!
