it has changed how i see things, i for one look at rocks differently. normally my eyes would just skim over everything in front of me (that's why people sometimes look at me weird when i suddenly realize that the person in front of me wears the same thing everyday). i also have opened my eyes a bit, and seen how things are getting a little bad in m school. you?

yep, about the same with me, with rocks and school, also if it wasn't for slinging, I wouldn't carry aroud a knife or, obveously, a sling.

I can't walk past an oval stone without wanting to pick it up. I've become obsessed with rocks.

Even though I don't sling stones all that much I also can't resistpicking out nice ones when I see them. Also I find myself estimating distances a lot and have become quite good at it.

On a recent backpacking trip, I taught a good friend how to sling. The next day on the trail, he couldn't resist pointing out good ammunition as we picked our way through rocky spots.
I consider it to be one of the warning signs of sling addiction. This bodes well.

I have a small pile of stones near the living room door where I empty my pockets sometimes. There's a tub and a bag of them in my car along with some scattered on the floor on the passenger side I and a big five gallon bucket mostly full of them by the garage. Sometimes there's a bowl of stones in my wife's car. There are sling stones scattered on the ground near the garage door Sometimes there's a few on the bathroom counter. Last winter we had snow on the ground for a few days here and there. I was without stones and miserable. I won't let that happen again.
I have slings hanging from the living room closet door and over the back of a chair near the living room door. I have slings in the backpack I use to keep the dog's stuff when walking and some hanging on the door of what was Kate's bedroom. There are usually a few in my car. I also have a box of sling making junk in the living room. Until recently I had a huge pile of bamboo staffs in my garage and currently there are two in the breezeway along with my one remaining completed staff sling. The leashes I walk the dogs with are designed after Rockman slings. Actually they're very strong, light, comfortable and so far very durable... I think they're a great design. One of them is below in the picture.
OMG, I've gone insane!!!!!!
