The key word here is knit.  I once made a netted sling, it was OK but I would not bother to make another.  But later I have knit several "inlays" and sewn into split pouches, braided with round 4-strand braids.  Work like a mix between a fine net, woven and Apache  (sewn on leather) pouch.   

If I remember correctly here was a YaBB upgrade many years ago that went wrong and a lot of stuff had to be restored from backup, many links were broken or mixed up unfortunately.
