ok, i was thinking of making an atlatl.  i was thinking of taking a peice of oak about 2 feet long and using a semi-spere router bit (on a router table) and carvin out the center and leaving a notch at the end to hold the dart.  any tips or recomendations on making it and the darts?

im looking into them myself. all i know is that your darts need to be about 6 ft long and look like an arrow on crack Tongue rivercain makes great darts.
