Just got back from a session with it, here are my first impressions:

Pros:
-High Abrasion Resistance (0 wear and tear noticable after about 50 shots.)
-the cable offers a whippy feel and good torsional stiffness.
-Power and precision felt decent.

Cons:
-Hard to load (pouch doesn't wrap well around projectile due to stiffness of cable)
-Uncomfortable finger tug after the shot
-feels like its going whip back in my face if i go too hard.
-No cracking sound
-if one strand fails, the sling is not good anymore.

That is very flexible. The weave of a steel cable does a lot for the flexibility. Haven't dared to make a sling out of it. As you said, It would be scary to have it whip in your face.

I've owed this to someone for an embarrassingly long time. The whipping is cotton and the rest is jute mixed with some Husky fluff.
