Just finished my latest creation; a tiny wee sling for my daughter’s third birthday. She has watched myself an my 5 year old daughter learn and has been asking for one for a while.

It’s very small, designed to throw equally tiny projectiles and be manageable for her. The finger loop is so small I cannot use the sling Grin

It’s made in two coloured jute; twisted green and a natural type with a gold filament accenting it. It really pops in the light. I also waxed the cords to make them more resistant to getting wet because she’s bound to drop it in water!

Oh man that's really cool! Perhaps if your daughter sticks with it she may yet become a master slinger!

Excellent sling, blargslap! I wish you and your daughter luck with slinging Smiley

Once, Toivo and Eino were out hunting, and before setting out, Toivo told Eino to fire three shots in the air if he got lost, and Toivo would find him. Soon enough, Eino got lost, aimed his weapon up and prayed: "God, please let Toivo see my arrows!"

5 flat braided jute with dyneema cracker square knot split pouch, 100cm or 39", when I use prewinded fibers in a strand since the winded is in one direction, when braided tends to form spirals, not a huge problem though since torsion depends mostly on fiber stability but something I'm looking foward to correct in future iterations.
I get 120 meters or 398 feet with this one and it's also very consistent, not the fastest release, compared with unwinded natural fibers but you can get used to it in a minute. It's kind of long for greek style but I still manage to be somewhat accurate in that style, specially with medium size projectiles 60-90 grams. For me the sweet spot distance with this one is about 80 meters. The pouch is with square macramé knots, since the perpendicular change in direction of the fibers in the pouch the grip on stones is superb.

Thanks! It's handled pretty well so far, but I've only been able to use tennis balls, which are less than ideal.

Made another sling following Acro Ballistics guide on a spliced dyneema sling.

Finished it just as the sun went down so i couldnt test it quite yet but it seems to be quite fine.
