This is my latest creation, a Jute Balearic sling.
Its 29" folded and has a paracord guts cracker; also waxed with beeswax too
I struggle to perfectly center the belly, it always ends up slightly pointing to one side!

Beautiful sling, Jaegoor!
Blargslap - great looking sling! I also have that problem with the belly on slings.

Once, Toivo and Eino were building a house, but as Toivo worked, he would occasionally throw a nail over his shoulder. When Eino asked why he was being so wasteful, he said, “The heads are on the wrong side!” Eino looked at him and said, “You dummy, those are for the other side of the house!”

update on my single finger loop 4strand round braid/woven sling design. I will get some video of it in action tomorrow as I dismantle my balearic target for an upgrade. I want to test some of my newer ammo, the bullet shaped (pictured with sling but nose is shattered from diana hit) to see how it flys and hits on my beat up wooden target. Maybe I’ll get it to poke a hole in the plywood? Anyway back to the sling, it is amazing how much different it feels during the throw. It seems much easier to throw at my point of aim? The double finger loops feel like the release cord is held off line, where as the single finger loop design feels like the release cord is directly on the target line. This is very interesting and I look forward to doing a slow motion video comparison of the 2 finger loop designs.

That's basically the experience I get from the double finger look. I know they work because there's plenty of slingers who use them, and who can hit a target much more consistently than me. But I could never get a feel for the double loop. Even after multiple 100-Rounds, something just doesn't feel right.

your sling is superb.
Just an idea but the cracker isn't Egyptian.

Thanks!
I agree, the cracker is most definitely not Egyptian. I made it based on Jaegoor's replaceable cracker design so that the end of the sling would last much longer without me splicing in synthetic materials.

Here is my sling! Just kinda a typical cupped pouch design with some twisted jute ropes made from some simple jute twine. Nothin fancy but it works great!
