Mersa -- Another beauty and that one's even in my zone!
My sling-making ability plateaued at the paracord+seat belt material+zip tie level a decade ago. All the hand-braided slings are beautiful and a lot of them are IMO genuine works of art, but seeing a seat belt material sling here makes me feel good. Now I know even serious slingers sometimes make and use my low-brow kind of slings.

Hackeysacks work great too! My 5 year old has picked it up too, sometimes she’s actually better than me

If you roll a sock up into a ball, that also makes great indoor ammunition. If your daughter is slinging too (which is super awesome!) the two of you can have a sock ball battle.

Hey, good idea!! Laundry sucks, makes me wonder if you can get a front loader that has a door thats 20" round with 4 ft x 4ft body .... Grin

P.S thanks Eino, its my fave, cant wait to make another.

P.S.S Yea Joe, she started soon after I took to slinging. She thought it was really cool that I could chuck tennis balls so far when we go to the park. She also finds the craft very impressive; braids are quite beautiful!

Just got finished with my latest sling.

Building these things is seriously addictive.

30” Balearic style sling, constructed in sisal which was soaked, dried then waxed with beeswax. Dyneema cracker spliced in at the end. I used kangaroo leather for the finger loop and made a covering for the pouch.

This is my first go doing any leather covering and oh lord the finger loop is so damn comfortable!! Should make up for the horrendous blisters I acquired braiding this thing Grin

The Dyneema isn’t too bad to work with if you wax it. Still yet to shoot the thing, I’ve been crook for about a week now! I have a lot of thanks for Archaic Arms for his tutorial on how to make these. His are infinitely better but it’s been great learning how to make them!
