Great sling! The yellow, blue and red go well together

Once, Toivo and Eino were building a house, but as Toivo worked, he would occasionally throw a nail over his shoulder. When Eino asked why he was being so wasteful, he said, “The heads are on the wrong side!” Eino looked at him and said, “You dummy, those are for the other side of the house!”

Wow! That's an elegant sling! I like the transition from a flat braid to a rope-like twist on the release cord.

Beautiful.  It must take a long time to untangle the strands while you are braiding

it's a lot worse.  😆 it looks typically balearic.  but it is not.  the braid is doubled.  you start at ten.  doubled to twenty.  in the middle you divide.  ten go left and ten go right.. on each side you add ten more.  so you have forty threads to braid.  this one rejuvenates.  in the end there are six left.  four of them form a loop at the end.  you need patience.  i love the craft.  and they are very durable.  I've been shooting such a model for 13 years.  the sling will be waxed.  this makes the fiber stable against weather. New 22" apache sling. Polypropylene braided cord, woven fingerloop.

I tried experimenting with adding a bump on the release cord instead of a tab. This was achieved by splitting a braid, braiding the lower half, then the upper half over it, then dropping the core away. Seems to be pretty good for grip.
