Got finished making this sling today for a gal for a Christmas present. BTW I cut each of those letters out with a utility knife.
It took a lot of tries but I eventually got it ::)
And it’s real leather too.

Have any of yall tried doing ur wraps attaching the pouch and the lacing around the pouch out of a continuous length (a cord for each side of course) just curious don't know that it would do anything except be a thing to brag about but just a thought...

The ball next to it is a softball, the pouch is huge. It holds most any snowball securely. The release seems fine, after adjusting to it. I'm liking this sort of double bowline for a tied retention loop

Attempted snowball sling. No good for that, but I think I'll like it for rocks when the snow clears out
I treated the leather with a liberal application of sno-sesl and thoroughly waxed both chords with beeswax, except the retention loop. It does seem to be quite water proof(except the loop. ) maybe just a little dampness on the leather when I came in.
The pouch may need a split or something, but I want to give it a proper try like this before I cut it. It won't hold snowballs well, you have to be veeery careful to maintain good tension on the cords, or else they fall out.
