I can only dream of having slings and glandes like those! Those pins and patches are awesome!

This is the first sling I've made by braiding, and actually the first thing I've ever braided at all. I made it following a tutorial by Derek Taylor on Youtube and am pretty jazzed about how it turned out.

Looking good man! Youll hear this alot but thats way better than my first braided sling. I made some truly horrendous slings in my day.

I swear the quality of people's first slings is much better now than when I started out. I think there must be better quality tutorials nowadays or something. Looking good!

That's something I haven't thought of before. Maybe better tutorials need to be made for people to make better slings.

My first ever braided sling was the same. For me it was also the first thing I ever braided  Grin I also followed Derek's tutorial  Cheesy it is a good one to get into braiding slings.
Great sling!

I just finished my eleven-strand balearic style jute sling. Decided to switch to four strand round braid on the release cord because I was too exhausted from the eleven-strand braid on the pouch. The sling turned out pretty nice I'd say.

It is also my heaviest sling yet. In the second picture there is a 257g stone in the pouch for comparison.

Looks great! How does it perform?

I've been really enjoying the balearic slings I've made lately. They seem to have a clean release and good pouch orientation control.

Is there a reason for why you changed the braid type after a certain point on the release cord?

I don't kow how well it throws. From my indoor testing with old socks in ducttape it has quite clean release for being such a heavy sling. I also like balearic slings for the same reasons.

There is none, I just made it where it felt right Grin

I have made a simple  6 strand braid paracord sling, that can be used as a belt. (i get a range of about 80 meters with 9 out of 10 shots and the release is very clean)
