Finished another twining over sticks sling which has been on my floor for literally months. Had trouble sleeping last night so got to work on it. Each time I make one of these it comes out better than the previous attempt and this one is no different. I really like it. Still need to put it through it's paces though. Although they get better I still think I can do better than this one. My idea of having a braid on the release side to act as a flat runway for the ammo... I don't know. I don't like it all that much and the transition into a the twining is pretty messy. Next time I'm just going to twine it all. The loop is maybe a tiny bit small but I was too happy with how the splicing turned out to change it Cheesy I have tiny fingers anyway so it's all good.

I braided my cords and I've been thinking of unbraiding it and twisting it instead. Great job!

I like both braiding and twisting, but twisting is quicker.

This is a collection of some of my slings and other paracord projects.
I tried using cotton string but that failed as the cotton was obviously too stretchy. But it is here none the less.

Damn that must be a heavy sling...shattered that board on impact.

HMG-yes that is now your new nickname from me- very nice work. How do you like the skinny split pouches? Ive never quite got the knack for them but some people are deadly using them. We had a member that was here for years, really a staple of this forum for a long time whose name was Dan. He loved those skinny splits. Skinny tarred bankline if I remember correctly. He was quite good with them.
